I don't know where this comes from either, but it looks like
it needs Miracle Max and "Good luck storming the castle".....

Now that I think of it....somebody needs to do a kick-ass bust of Billy Crystal as Miracle Max.

The cinema reference confuses me, but possibly the sculpt is based on some famous Russian actor who portrayed Baba Yaga.

Baba Yaga is a supernatural being in Russian folklore. See wiki write-up.

One of the pieces in Mussorgski's "Pictures at an Exhibition" is entitled "The House of Baba Yaga", so she's clearly an important figure in Russian folklore. Baba means "granny", I seem to remember.

Ah, it's a lady. From the looks I thought it was a man. I think she will look much better with her make up on No, seriously, I looks like a bust full of character and it must be great fun to paint. Congrats.

Great sculpting.
In Serbia we call her Baba Roga.
By tales she lives in house made of bones .
Her house have a four chiken legs so her house can walk trought wood.
When I was a child and didnt want to finish my meal my grandmother said to me:Eat or Baba Roga will came for you.
Maybe that is a reason for my big belly.
