While cleaning out my model room to have another Crack at it . I found paint I forgot I had some bottles I could not open even with pliers . Others were so thick they were useless. I had been buying colors everytime I had to paint a different color. Before I found the resin bug and was just doing plastic kits most paint I have is testors acylic or enamel . At the time I had never heard of vallejo and such .still being new to figure or bust painting I have a long way to go . But even at the bginer level what a difference in quality.as I replace the testors with vallejo little by little . What are the base colors you suggest I buy ? Anyone else have the same experience Lol

Samson,
I just buy what I need at the time. Otherwise I have colours I thought I needed but did not. After a period of time, I (like many others) probably have 150 bottles of paint and yet I always seem to be a colour short when I do the next figure/vignette  Then I have to go to the local hobbytown and get the next colour I need. Hobbytown seems to like that:) It is either that or the colour I have is completely dried out.:arghh: This is just my acrylics and is not counting enamels I sometimes use. I also only use them for base coats as I usually paint in oils:joyful:
Cheers
John

Exactly my thoughts. Hobbytown is a great hobby shop the one near me went out of business. So I found a close gaming store that stocks vallejo and will order what I need so I guess I got lucky .
