Hi Nap,

Nothing done to the glasses ie its out of box. What is this krystal clear ?

Hi ,

Micro Kristal Klear is a solution used to create windows its milky when put on , you work it around and capillary action(I think) fills the space it then drys clear = a lens

Forming small windows:
(1/4" or smaller) After the model has been painted, use a toothpick to apply Micro Kristal Klear around the edges of the window opening, drawing the material across to form a film across the entire opening. When dry, the film forms a very thin, clear pane of "glass". Clean up with water while wet.
Forming lenses:
Simply apply a drop of Micro Kristal Klear to a sheet of waxed paper and allow it to dry. Add a small bit of food colouring to colour the lenses.

Good stuff Nap !

Could a ask a question about this, I have always struggled with paint faces, I have followed loads of painting course and still find it hard, but looking at this great work, how is it done, are the layers still wet before blending or are they dry!!!!!
Cheers

Hi wellington 33&76, it can be done by both wet and dry methods. In the initial stages, i layer the paints over each other thinly to build up. Towards the finaly stages, i use a tiny bit of retarder to smoothen and blend.

Here are some images of the completed tunic :)

Thanks to Nap's suggestion, i obtained some Krystal Klear and did the lenses for the glass and i like the effect :)

Nap, i used a brush to spread kristal klear across the glasses. It is much easier than a toothpick. Toothpick is good for smaller holes.
