I received an email from Francisco Javier Ruiz ( pf member, Paco ) in regards to their forum's painting contest which is open to all painters internationally. Below is the email:
Hi Guy,
As you have probably seen in Lilliput, we are starting a painting contest in the forum. Along with Pepe Gallardo and Jose Hernandez we will choose the best painting of Elite's Alatriste miniature. I would like to post a reference in PlanetFigure to encourage people to participate on it.

I have translated the rules that were posted on their forum and will also leave a link to their fantastic forum below.
Since already there are saying, "We are going to look for third in discord". As you know, the teachers Pepe Gallardo and Jose Hernandez have painted recently two versions of the Alatriste de Elite. And now we go to by third.
That is to say, Elite and LilliputModel organize an aid directed to all you and according to the following norms:
* In order to participate chambergo is had to paint a version with Alatriste with the hat that includes the figure.
* The aid has international scope.
* At least four photos are due to send to the forum to enter the aid (frontal, back Vista, lateral left and lateral right).
* The shipment of the photos will be due to do before the 24:00 of the 31 of March of 2008.
* Being based on the photos, a preselection will become of 6 figures. The jury of this preselection will be made up of: Striking Pepe, Jose Hernandez, Eduard Good Perez and the people in charge of Lilliputmodel.
* The 6 preselected by the jury will be put under popular voting in this forum.
* One will open to a thread in the forum "Factories Practical Online" of the Lilliputmodel to put the photos to aid. And also it will be possible to be used for questions, suggestions...
* Also a Factory will be able to be done step by step of the painting in the forum "/Step by step". The best one of these step by step (not necessarily the best painting) will be awarded.
* The winner "commits itself" to do an article for lilliputmodel explaining the process of painting (length, detail and language of the article to criterion of the author).
PRIZES
* Winning figure swill erá used for box art of the figure (photo of the box), and in addition it will be compensated with a prize still to make specific (an amount in figures to choose, a trophy...) by a value approximated of 150€.
* To only participate in the aid, independently of the quality of the painting and between all the offerers, some gifts will be drawn for.
* To the best one step by step made in the forum, to criterion of the jury who will make the preselection, also it will be awarded to him.
Friends, we hoped that this initiative you like and she attracts to you. To at the moment I can say you that the figure is an authentic jewel and that only painting it already it is a pleasure.
