Good Effort!

well done! Not an easy scale 28mm by any means. the figure has some nice points, the wire work is nicley done.
Not sure how long you been sculpting but here's some tips; learn to draw the figure to scale which is VERY testing. a 28mm figure is best at seven heads which means the girl's head is 4mm without hair! and would be 1.75 to 2mm wide.
the eye line is 2mm from the top of the 'ball' and each eye would 0.5 mm or less!! nose would be about 0.5 to 0.75 mm long; mouth about the same
best tip a Pro gave me was to copy figures of this (or any) scale and to sculpt dollies, whch are featureless Mannequins designed to teach proportion and look like the wooden dummies. always make your own too because once mastered they can be cast up and used to save time.
good job overall though! i have thrown away more 28mm than i kept while i was learning this scale. If you can befriend a working sculptor then you wil progress like lightning.

all the very best ! --- tim.

That was some danm quick sculpting, to me it's looking good, just i would have to say is that the eyes are just a little high on the head. remember, thats my opinion ;)

Thanks!

I know, the head is wrong... but next time it will be better i hope.
Tim, thanks for details... really great help.:D
Well, I'll try to improve my skills... hope next time I will make it better.
Thanks for help.

i like your Forum name! trust me , after a few years of 28mm, you will be ....!

if you want to improve overall then i suggest you go to a scale like 54mm. in this scale you can see better what you are sculpting because you have a bigger 'area'

when i started out, i liked 28 mm as i was in to G.W Warhammer but some of my early figures were Forgeworld scale, 70-100 mm. i found that being able to really see what i was tooling helped alot.

as i said, best way to learn is to copy a figure you like; this is how GW sculptors are trained and they know their stuff in small scale. Check out Werner Klocke at FREEBOOTER.DE and STEVE BUDDLE of SPYGLASS.COM. these guys do lovely minis and inspired me when i was in to this scale.
oh and drawing comic characters or life nudes is a real help too.

all the best to you and regards ---- tim.
