What ho chaps, I'm looking for a generic female bust. Nothing particular to tie it to a place/time/genre. Any ideas?

Hi bud, is this like a bare of detail academy bust you can build on?

Paul.
No Paul, I'm not looking to sculpt so at the very least, hair would be good, I'm after a blank canvas for painting if you will. A female version of the anonymous bust by alphonso girardes (I think it was his).

You mean Alfonso Giraldes (Banshee).

I think Michael Kontoros does something. Though I only rememder seeing things that were the basic anatomy.

Have a hunt through Historex and El Greco. I remember seeing something on those.

Hey buddy,

Sorry to be slow getting back to you on this.

I wa going to suggest having a look in 'forbidden planet' if there is a branch near you.

They sell collector toys in vinyl etc from all Sci-Fi, comic and film genres.
The figures are cheap enough you could chop one down to a 1/16th bust easy enough.
I have used a Predator in that scale posed it, gkued it and coverd the joints with Duro.
Otherwise it would be worth looking at the catalogue of 'Sol' of
Korea.
Lots of 'girlie' figures to re-use up to 1/6th scale.

I'll be keen to see what you come up with, it's always something original with you ;).

Paul.

Cheers Paul, I wondered where you were in this discussion ;) I will definately check those options out and yes, I do have something slightly odd planned!
In fact, you'd be proud of me, my very first bust arrived in the post yesterday. Fer miniatures rogue pirate so I better get started on that first :)
