Liver Eating Johnson

This is 75mm figure that Anders Heintz sculpted. It has been sold to a company that is going to produce it but I do not know who. I changed a few things on it like replacing the covered rifle with one from Mike Roberts and I also changed the belt and gave him a different hat. In my mind it is Jeremiah Johnson who the Black Foot called liver eating Johnson because he was supposed to have eaten the livers of the men he killed. I dont know if that is true but Im sure that he liked the respect that it got him with them.

Hi Doug,

Great painting mate. Do you think perhaps he might be a bit too clean for a frontiersman?? I'm not being critical, but I do think he could do with some dirtying up, if you know what I mean?

The liver eating story, although gruesome, seems quite logical. It would have provided much needed nutrition, but also would have been very "strong medicine" with the local Native Amercian tribes.
