Hi everyone,

I normally post on Platoon Britannica, but, as it's much more focused on fantasy and scifi, I thought I should finally stop lurking here and join up to share my latest piece, which is a WWI private of the London Scottish, from Tommy's War.

If you're interested, I tracked the progress on Platoon Britannica, starting about halfway down this page. I'd never done a WWI piece before (or many historical pieces at all!), so it was quite a learning experience.

Cheers,
Fet

Nice job on him. You have created a very nice little environment for him. Hope to see more of your stuff.

Colin

Thanks, chaps, and thanks for the welcome!

@Housecarl: The hodden grey is a weird colour, that's for sure - took a wee while on the palette to be happy with applying it to the model.

Nice work.
Platoon Britannica never heard until now. I will spy the forum.
Cheers

Welcome Fet, and a very nice piece to start off with (y).

Oh, and thanks for the warm welcome over at PB ;) I haven't posted much over there yet, too busy.

Cheers,
Billy

Thanks for the generous welcome, everyone! I hope to post a few more pieces over here, although I do tend to mostly work on fantasy and scifi pieces. I have a Young Miniatures Zaporozhian Cossack bust I'm keen to work on that should fit in nicely here.

@pmfs: It's a very friendly forum, but with a strong focus on improvement. We get a lot of people moving on from gaming standard GW looking to move up to display standard and like to help out.

A very nice job. The only thing missing are the tails from his glen garry... but cracking paint work, especially with the hodden grey.

That's a good spot - I hadn't noticed that before. I may have accidentally cleaned it off mistaking it for a bit of flash o_O I'll look into making a replacement.
