Greeting all,
I was contacted by a woman in Australia who is trying to find a copy of the old Ft. Duquesne Blackbeard bust (an out of production kit). Neither she nor I have had any luck yet finding one. I was wondering if anyone out there might have one that they would be willing to part with. If you do, or know of a place where she can buy one, please let me know and I'll put you in touch with her.
Thanks for your help,
Craig
PS: Here is a picture of the one I did a few years ago so you will know just which Blackbeard bust I'm talking about.

Craig,
Awesome...nicely done!
I have always liked this piece. I saw the one Marion did two years ago and it, like yours is stunning. This is one of the best busts I have ever seen. If you find a place that has one, please let me know.

All the best

Patrick

Hi Patrick,
Thanks for the nice compliment.
You know, I wouldn't mind finding another one of these for myself.
I'm going to be scouting the tables at the D.C. show for one (or two :) ).
Craig
PS: I've seen Marion's rendition of this bust too. Mine doesn't even deserve to be mentioned in the same breath as hers!
But thanks :)

Make sure you introduce yourself, Craig...would like to meet you in person and see your work, too...

Hope all is well

Patrick

Hi Patrick,
Will do. I've been looking forward to meeting you and as many other planetFigure members as I can. I got to meet a few of the guys at MFCA last May and it's nice to get to put a face to the names I've seen here.
See you there.
Thanks.
Craig

Roger,
I got your email. Many thanks for the information. I've replied to your email with a question for you before I act on what you told me.

Lou,
Hmmmm.......she told me that price is "no object"....:)
Actually, she's relying on me to decide if it's a reasonable price.

Thanks guys,
Craig

Craig,
I'm an expensive W----. I don't want to give it up at all. I actually intend to paint it someday. It would have to be a LARGE cash offer for me to part with it. More than would be reasonable.

Jim and John,
IF that is the case, then I will blame it on the bright Hawaiian shirt blinding me from the obvious!

Hope to see you both at the DC Show

All the best

Patrick

Hey guys,
I'm not sure that Patrick and I were introduced at MFCA last time but I could be wrong (my memory isn't what it used to be :( ( hehe). But after hearing the descriptions of the Hawaiian shirts I think I have an idea what you look like.
I'll keep my eyes peeled for you Patrick.

Lou, sorry, I was just trying to be funny there. Maybe I should have used more emoticons :). What I've done is pass along the iinfo I got on another possible copy of the bust to the woman in Australia.

Thanks again for all the help with the Blackbeard bust.
Craig

Craig,

Normally I might sell it, but I really like that one and intend to do it.

Lou

PS-There is no way you could have missed those two. Patrick and Larry are two HUGE (about, what 6'7"), crew-cutted Hawaiin Shirt wearin' smiley bastards.

Hi
John Struck of John's Models has the masters for the Ft. Duquesne's "European collection" from what he said he intends to re-release the kits over the next 18 months. When I last had an Email from him (April) he was working on repairing the Blackbeard master and was hoping the have it ready for Chicago. I hope this comes to pass as this is a kit I also want. Drop me an email if you want his contact details and I will send you his email address.

Hope this helps Michael
