August 2014 will be the hundredth anniversary of the outbreak of the madness that was WW1. There should be lots of superb figures coming out, hopefully in the larger scales.

I'm not an expert but I've had to do a bit of research for my own models.
I can at least point you in the right direction.

ok mates! it's time to take your help!

I've as reference that draw from osprey. I'm painting an officer, but i've a doubt about the trouser... in the picture it looks to have two different colors: khaki and clear khaki.... but i'm not sure... can you help me with that?

regards!

He's wearing Breeches, not Trousers.

Insides (where the colour is different) is Leather.

Is good to learn something new!!

You are most welcome.

If you google the term "Bedford Breeches" it brings up lots of information.

They are traditionally made from Bedford Cord, the inner protection is usually Leather or Suede.

Really interesting pte1643!

As most of you know, I came from fantasy, but from the last two or three years I'm painting most historical miniatures. So I'm learning as I can about it! And I find really interesting the WWI thanks to all the wonderful miniatures from Tommy's War. So I'm happy to learn as much as I can! Thanks for your help!
