I'm looking for information (releasing firm, sculptor, scale, etc.) about the vintage Scythian mounted archer which you can see on the file I have enclosed.
Hope someone can help me. Maybe someone has the book and/or figure.
Many Thanks

Sculptor was John Tassel, scale around 60mm and released in the late 70's. Manufactured by Sovereign.

Thanks to Mirofsoft's nostalgia lists.

Thank you for answering.
Do you mean number SMM 04 in this catalogue? If so, I'm afraid it isn't the one I'm looking for. The one I'm looking for is firing his bow and the Sovereign one is a lancer. Maybe Sovereign made more Scythian figures, I don't know.

Hi, no it's not the SMM04 one. The figure you're looking for was from a series of 60mm-ish size figures introduced by Sovereign in the late 1970's. These 60mm figures predate the 75mm size figures in the catalogue page you've shown. Follow this link;

http://www.mirofsoft.com/nostalgia-old-catalog-pdf/

click the link for Nostalgia 70ies, 80ies, 90ies. This should download a PDF files of adverts etc. On page 76 of that file is a copy of a Sovereign advert from 1977 listing their then current 60mm & 75mm figures. In that advert is a reference to the figure you're looking for.
I think the 60mm figures ( they were reviewed at the time as being a little larger in reality) were withdrawn in the early 1980's.

Hope that helps.
