Re the blue, Nap. That's the third blue I tried. Trying to get the right blue was my great frustration on this figure and tried three different shades. I finally decided to go with a straight Vallejo flat blue for maximum contrast with the lace. Even though the blue is too bright, especially for dyes in that era, I think, allowing for poetic license, it works.
