Wow. Looking awesome.

Too sad, that most of the german painters are more the SF & Fantasy fans. Otherwise i had to think about a historic range in my shop.

Carl,

Do you ever sleep???? Your output is amazing. Especially when considering the quality of your work.

And I'll like to ask Danilo the same question :)

Magnificent is the word.
Carl, your decision to do this as a full figure provided the perfect "canvas" for Danilo's skills as a painter. The pantaloons are stunning.
But as good as the uniform details are, my eyes keep going back to the expression on the face. "Weary" is the word that comes to mind. This is work, not play. The combination of sculptor and painter have given us a masterful portrait.
Congratulations, and thank you.
Don

Louisiana Tiger Zouave

Carl, I have admired your work for some time. Glad you did a zouave. Nothing more colorful, more eye catching than a zouave...The pose is pretty neat as well. It is typical of the soldier in the field...And Rob Wheat's Boys were very colorful. Can't wait to see one of these in the flesh. Great subject! All the Best, Terry Martin of Atlanta Miniature Figure Society
