I wouldn't Gray. I would rather see you invest in another line or such things as brushes, groundwork, etc. I have subscriptions to FIM, Figurines, and Historical Miniature and I know alot of guys subscribe to one or more too.
IMHO

Hi

I subscribe to Figurines FWIW. So I have a source already!
I'm not sure you could beat the 40 euro sub price either (given they cost $9.95 from evil Squadron retail).

Gray-

I can usaully get Figure International at my semi local shop.

I'd give a go to Figurines if or when you start carrying it. For me, I'll pick up a mag when I order a fig or bases etc to try to save on the shipping cost.

Also, I do keep track of how fast I get my order and how often stuff is back ordered from whi I order from. Cannot stand the sites that list stuff but make you wait months for the order. Grrr... No probs with Colo Mini's though :)

Hi Gray,

I have ordered mags from you in the past, HM to be specific and have been pleased with your service, but I agree with Guy. You have always maintained reasonable prices on your figure lines. I would rather see you pull more figure lines, paints and supplys into your webstore to give some of the figure retailers with large egos some honest competition. Keep up the good work and I appreciate your seeking the advice of the people in the trenches of this hobby.

Thanks,

Dave

Gray,
I agree with Guy...
Tough choice I know, but think that its more prudent to look at expanding to a line that isn't saturated already...
All the best

Patrick

I agree with Patrick who agrees with Guy (kind of sounds like the "Johnson" skit from "Blazing Saddles" :) ). You'd be taking an awfully big financial risk if you're only form of feedback is this site. Best to take up another line of figures. How about UEM or Alpha Image?

As for what Squadron/MMD told you, I'll say it: "what a load of bullcrap! What the hell do they care if they're still selling their product to a merchant?"

There, I feel a lot better now.

"the business plan for Colorado Miniatures consists in part of luring AFV and aircraft modellers over to the Historical Miniature side of the hobby"

... all the more reason to pick up Alpha Image! Look at Vince's line: he includes WWII figs that go with armor projects (i.e his British tank crew set) as well as "historical" figures like the ones we're accoustomed to.

Gray,

Me personally? I'd shy away from stocking the overseas mags. It's appearant that squadron/MMD is trying to monopolize the distributorship for them here in the states. Their unwillingness to sell at other than full retail makes it a lose- lose situation for you. If you WERE to get them, you'd have to bump cost. If you were to get them from Lynn Sangster, you would probably have to bump cost again, as well. If you were to not sell the magazines, you'd be stuck. How many of us have seen back issues of mags at shows for sale, at either Chuck's, Neil's, etc etc. These represent LOST money.

I have purchased issues of these mags in the past, but, I'd not be willing to subscribe to any at this point in time.

Gray,

What they said..... ;)

You'll probably end up choking on the things.I understand very few people buy back issues sight unseen-they only sell when people flip through them at a show. If you tie that with the fact that most of us probably do subscribe to these magazines, and don't need back issues, again, I think you're in a lose lose situation.

Patrick, as for Pete's backside, you can have it.

Patrick: Sometimes you scare me. You really really scare me.

Lou: Gee, I didn't know you cared ;)

Wayne: It "is" in the U.S? So there's no need to check your papers? Damn!
