Hello figureteers!

Ive been spending two hours trying to make spurs in 54mm but I dont get the endresult that I would like to.

Could you please share your tips with me on this one?

Cheers

Greetings,
Best way to proceed is with photo etched spurs made by Nimix:

I'm sure there must be a dealer on your side of the pond that sells this line. If not, I have them in stock.

Thanks for the tips Terry and John!

Ill persist some more though before I give in and purchase the Nimix set.
Perhaps I also should be more clear. Its the round wheel with the points sticking out that gives me the problem.

Tjena Janne,

To make the rowel maybe punch a cirle in right diameter from lead foil or thin plastic sheet with a reversed drill bit. Then you can take a round 'half' (round one side and flat on other) strip of evergreen and kind of sandwich the circle. If you want it to be completely round like a small ball add putty, or maybe even use a small bearing for the 'ball'.

If you want to make a star or pointy shaped rowel, either cut a square out and position it as a 'diamond' shape or go to your local rubber stamp shop, ask them to make a star stamp in the right dimension, make a push mold and make the stars with either drops of resin or with epoxy putty then sandwich this.

I have never tried any of the above ideas but thats how I personally would approach it.

Well, after several trials and brainstorming over the passed weekend I finally gave in and ordered Nimix photoetched spurs to make some progress in the build.

They arrived today and was way better than Ive thought they would be. Still annoys me a bit that I couldnt make them myself. Learnt a lot while trying though.

Thanks for the help and ideas fellows.
