Hindenburg hands over Germany to the Nazis...!
The man was one of the greatest misfortunes that ever happened to the Germans - apart from the Nazis:
Paul von Beneckendorff und Hindenburg - here as Reich President (and "substitute emperor", as it was later called) in 1933 and already clearly senile!
He gave his name and conference during the First World War...
... as a publicly visible figurehead of the criminal prolongation of the war policy of the ACTUAL ruler in Germany, his "Quartermaster General" Erich Ludendorff...:
He was the face of the "Obersten Heeresleitung" ("Supreme Army Command") (OHL), behind whose façade Ludendorff and his lackeys established a de facto military dictatorship in Germany from 1916 onwards.
He was the representative of "Oberost"...
...the high command over the areas in Poland, Ukraine, the Baltic states, Belarus and Russia occupied by Germany during the World War, whose population was mercilessly plundered and also deported to Germany for forced labor, which was not an "invention" of the Nazis!
The following pictures - the first shows Jewish Poles being forced by Germans to build roads - are both from 1916...:
Hindenburg enforced his - knowingly! - mendacious statement before a Reichstag investigative committee on November 18, 1919, the so-called "stab in the back legend" into the world, with which he blamed the German "left" for the lost world war:
He deliberately deceived the public by saying - fictitious! - stated:
"An English general rightly said: The German army has been stabbed from behind. Where the fault lies has been clearly proven."
His second biggest mistake came on January 30, 1933, when he appointed Nazi party leader Adolf Hitler as Chancellor after allowing reactionary cronies like Franz von Papen and Alfred Hugenberg to persuade him that conservative politicians could deal with the criminal Nazis surround them, "wall them in" so to speak, then everything won't be that bad...
But Hindenburg made his biggest mistake on March 24, 1933 - 89 years ago today!
After the Nazi-dominated Reichstag, along with Hugenberg's "German National People's Party," had previously enacted it, Hindenburg signed the infamous "Ermächtugungsgesetz" ("Enabling Act") putting it into effect!
With his signature, Hindenburg practically invalidates the constitution and parliament and gives the Nazis complete power to do whatever they want in the future - even unconstitutional acts!
In his speech to the Reichstag deputy in the so-called "Kroll Opera" in Berlin's Tiergarten...
... (the actual Reichstag building was set on fire in the night from February 27th to 28th, 1933 and the interior was completely destroyed)...
...Hitler had also openly announced this...:
"It would contradict the spirit of the national survey and would not serve the intended purpose if the government wanted to negotiate and ask for the approval of the Reichstag for its measures on a case-by-case basis."
And he threatened openly:
"May you, gentlemen, now make the decision yourself about peace or war."
Meanwhile, illegally armed SA and SS thugs crowd the stands and the corridors of the Krolloper...:
SPD MP and party leader Otto Wels had the last free words in the Reichstag...
... reserved, who justified his faction's rejection - hard to understand given the yells of hate and the scorn of the Nazi MPs:
"Liberty and life can be taken from us, but not honor. (...) In this historic hour, we German Social Democrats solemnly profess the principles of humanity and justice, freedom and socialism. No enabling law gives you the power to ideas , which are eternal and indestructible.(...)
We salute the persecuted and oppressed. We salute our friends in the kingdom. Their steadfastness and loyalty deserve admiration. Her courage of confession, her unbroken confidence guarantee a brighter future.”
January 30, 1933 is generally regarded as the day the Nazis "seized power".
But that's not true!
The actual seizure of power was exactly 89 years ago today, when Hindenburg handed over Germany and the Germans unconditionally to the Nazi criminals by signing the "Enabling Act"...
A single law, a single signature, namely Hindenburg's, transformed Germany quite legally on March 24, 1933 from a democracy into a bloody dictatorship!
