Museum Series Flatz
After Rogier Van Der Weyden 1400-1464
Sculpted & Painted by Le-Van Quang

Historical Note:

[FONT=&quot]Rogier van der Weyden (1400-1464) was the leading Netherlandish painter of the mid-fifteenth century.
His often serene and aristocratic portraits were much imitated, influencing North European art until the end of the century.
This famous portrait is believed to be of Marie de Valengin, illegitimate daughter of Philip the Good of Burgundy.

Quang brings to us another of his beautiful Flatz series. Very little clean-up was needed and just a small mold burr had to be removed.

Conclusion:
An excellent flat with thick flowing detail which makes the flat much easier and enjoyable to paint. Highly recommended for those wanting to try a flay.

Guy, thanks for the review. I have this piece, and it is actually next on my workbench. I think Quang has "done it again" with his museum series, and I look forward to going "mano a mano" with the masters.
