Historical Note:
[FONT="]Rogier van der Weyden (1400-1464) was the leading Netherlandish painter of the mid-fifteenth century.
His often serene and aristocratic portraits were much imitated, influencing North European art until the end of the century.
This famous portrait is believed to be of Marie de Valengin, illegitimate daughter of Philip the Good of Burgundy.

Quang brings to us another of his beautiful Flatz series. Very little clean-up was needed and just a small mold burr had to be removed.
