IL Signor Stefano Borin has just sent me these photos of his latest creation, sculpted for Seil Model.
The sculpture is a 75mm. Italian Medieval knight, available very soon.

Cheers

In my opinion he looks a little ungainly with the helmet on his back, but it's well scuplted as we'd expect from Stefano and will be striking when painted. Laods of detail for the brush to find.

Yes Dave!!!, it's a good question.
Figure looks a bit strange... because Middle Age is strange!

You have to imagine that in medieval period the most of comander looks something as little Panzer on legs.

The most of time was spent to excogitate the way to carry in the battle more weapons as possible ready to be used, not only great helms.

There were knight with aech weapon hold with chains, kind of terrible for moving.
The most of them had a page who brougt athers kind of weapons.

In my opinion it's to dificoult find sculptor who, to a good work, adds quivering sensation of reality of facts.

ciao Stefano!!!

 Great work my friend. is a realy impressive figure, my brush is a ready for paint ......
ciao from Luca

Classic Borin I must say, very nice overall with good anatomy and stance although I think the grip on the lance is funny (natural tendency is to grip using the ball of the thumb and opposing fingers, which gives a better line to the hand/wrist). That long two-hander would be very unusual for the day but the shield looks like it's about scale thickness which is noteworthy to say the least!
