Completed Meanwhile Up the Street

I made a companion piece to the cigar box gumshoe I did a few years ago and this is the result;





Photographing this thing has been very frustrating, but I did the best I could with my meager skills. I used Lily from Andrea's "Lily of the Lamplight". Across the street and through the windows the viewer can see a building with a few lit up windows and some surprises. I made the Venetian blinds from plastic strip. Trying to get the 40's-50's noir look, I felt like they were key to the scene. I decided to sign the piece by making it the sign above the door across the street. I think it truly needs to be seen to get the full effect.

Wow, this is very nice!!!
Perhaps a photos without the overhead lighting,give it that 'peeking through the shades" look.

It has been put together well, I like the thought and planning behind it.
