Joe - You're a very lucky guy if you get to meet the MOH winners.
My brother-in-law, now a retired former USAF officer, like myself, did two "tours" in the Pentagon. This happened during his first tour. He tells the story of walking out of a meeting, down a hall and being deeply engrossed in reading a document that he'd just been given, getting into an elevator. He finished a paragraph and was thinking about it. He looked up and out of the corner of his eye saw blue ribbons and stars around the necks of men in various uniforms standing around him. He says he went from being relaxed to rigid attention in a skinny second. His floor came and he started to march off at attention, but had the sense of the moment to pause and say, "Gentlemen, it has been this lieutenant's distinct honor and privilege to have shared an elevator with you. God bless and keep you!"
All the best,
Dan
