By russian "Αltores studio" (http://altores.com/) recently was released the "Medieval footman", a bust in scale 1/10.

It's a really big bust, with actual height from the belly to the top of helmet about 90mm. Resin casted. It has an amazing chain mail, a unique face expression, perfect fit of the lance in its pole and naturally ruined clothes.

Is a soldier, a footman, of an era that ruthless mercenaries, the greed, the cruelty ... and the stench, were the constant traits (for both era and armies). All his appearance, referred to a lower military rank. On this basis, the colors were selected, with attention not to be fancy, but modest, and the emblem of the unit, a "medieval" boar, which painted freehand.

Painted with oils on enamels basecoat and every comment and criticism are very welcome.
Thanks for your time !

Very good work in metals, textiles and flesh.
This bust has a very expressive face sculpted and you accented it with your painting especially of the mouth and eyes.
All this together with the freehand wild boar create a beautiful result. (y)
What did you use for the metals?

Thank you Trex !
For the metals my general approach is based in these steps :
1) black or blue-black basecoat
2) paint strokes with and old brush with short hair, using gun metal and then several silver enamels
3) when dry, a film of "smoke"
4) if needed reflexions, several films of oil colors
