If (and I mean a BIG if) I was to release the following figure how many people would be interested and at what scale would you prefer?

It's not my thing as it's got a tail/ legs but certainly a interesting project , personally feel it's a bit niche ...but hey I paint busts !

Voted for a 120 scale but also think it's got potential for others

Just my thoughts

Not my thing either, but I'm sure it would appeal to some. Why not also post it up on puttyandpaint.com and see what sort of feedback you get there?

I'm sure this cracking sculpt would be popular with the fantasy genre of painters. As Steve suggested, I would put it on other figure sites too in order to maximise publicity and potential custom.

Good luck with this lovely piece.

I wouldn't buy this particualr sculpt, excellent though it is, but something similar in 120mm quite possibly.

Interesting piece but for what ever reason I find the skulls out of place , the rest looks peaceful and interesting

I would paint this. I voted for the 120mm version. A piece like this, for me, enables you to get out of your comfort zone and try new techniques. Plus the added benefit of practicing water effects.

Honestly; no, I wouldn't at any scale. The anatomy looks odd and awkward, plus the scenic part looks designed for small scale printing (gaming sizes) and doesn't have a natural feel at all, plus the skulls look like an afterthought to appeal to the GW "moaaaaaaarrrrrr skkkuuuullllllsssss" market.

Sorry.

Yeah, not my thing, either, but that doesn't mean you should try to market it.

...The anatomy looks odd and awkward...
I had a similar thought, Forte. The head looks a little too small for the body, particularly in the third image. It looks OK in the first, so it may be a factor of the image process. And the "hips" look just a tad too wide for the rest of the human torso.

As far as the skulls are concerned, I didn't mind them, though I think the animal skull is out of place. The skulls remind me of the idea of a mermaid luring sailors to their deaths on the rocks, or the tale of the Lorelei.

Prost!
