Good idea. Don't forget to put some decapitated limbs on the groundwork!
Just one remark; the overcoat looks a little French to me. Did the germans have flaps like this one?
 
Perfect idea! The figure looks really well, and to add the tree for some christmas feelings at the front, is wonderfull! Hope, to see it painted soon (or better yet, make a whole vignette with two more comrades sitting at a fire, drinking tea or coffee, maybe with some chicken on the rost and some packed small christmas parcels. That might look good as well.

Excellent vignette! Really a good idea and well-sculpted! The point about the French vs. German overcoat was already raised. To the best of my limited knowledge, German overcoats didn't have button-back flaps like the French. Please feel free to prove me wrong - it's been done before.

hello Dan

a overcoat model 15 had buttons on the side to put the flaps on it , and this in combiation with a helmet 16
if i find a picture of it I let it know
