So, what did you spend your hard earned cash on during the show?

I got Vol 2 of Market Garden: Then and Now. Great book!

2EA of the new Think 180 figures. Really nice moldings on these guys. I hope they crank out some more.

A nice glass domed figure base.

Some of Armand Bayardi's stuff. I love how clean and detailed his resin pieces are!

Some paint I needed.

All in all, I had a great time.

Too much
I took home 3 busts and 4 Ken Thomas bases too.
One bust was the English Civil War Officer from UEM and the other 2 were OOP kits from the defunct Ft. Duquesne Miniatures. The huge El Cid and the tiny angry Confederate soldier busts.
Gotta agree...I had a great time there too.

Well I'm in the dog house for sure. I got 5 120mm figures from Lost Battional and met Darla and her family very nice people and great figs and prices also fromLB a 100mm marine and a few sets of 120mm heads. Also from Red Lancers a 120mm Buffalo hunter and a WW1 British figure and a few more figs. Lets just say I need to get building. Now on a very important note: I met the Planet figure boys and a host of others also Doug Cohen. Let me just say this these guys are not only great figure painters and sculpters but a true gentelmen. They were kind helpful and just top notch. I am very glad I was able to meet them. Brock

Yeah, I remembered the photo shoot was for 1400, but I came rolling in with my girlfriend at around 1415. Just missed it! We were at Ikea and REI!

Does anyone know for sure if MFCA will be moved next year, and where to?

I scored the Draco bust, Batman bust and a landsknecht from UEM, a few Ken Thomas bases, some Bayardi castings, a few flats and some books. Great to meet you all!

Craig, are you gong to post our picture?

Dennis Levy announced at the end of the awards ceremony that MFCA will DEFINITELY be at the same place next year. The committee is considering other sites for possible future shows, but it will definitely be at Valley Forge next year - at about the same time - first full weekend of May.

I picked up five Thomas Art bases, Mussini heads, the Andrea 17th Lancer, Pegaso German officer bust, and the UEM Bavarian officer (after being inspired by Vern's figure entered in the competition).

It was good to meet Craig and Brock, and to spend time with Jason. And it's always good to see my old friends from Western Massachusetts. (Pete Dawson may be the best all-around modeler on the planet. Did any of you figure guys see his 1/72 helicopter? Cripes!) Sorry I missed seeing Darla, but glad to hear she's doing well.

Good seeing you too, Steve! And, yes, Pete frequently exhibits "above average " modleing skills. ;)

The "orange ordinance" and the tank are brilliant work! I'll convey your sentiments, as Pete does not frequent the Planet on a regular basis.

Many Many Ken Thomas Art bases....and then went back for more. Found the old 200mm Superior American Rev figure mint in box for $48. Passed on it as I finally got one on eBay a while back for 65. Pays to wait some times as MFCA does have a few bottom fishing prizes now and then. It was gone an hour later, so some one walked off with a real prize. Couldn't pass on Little Moon....a little gem and looks to be fun to paint up.

Ken Thomas wasn't kidding Friday when he said he'd pretty much sell out by Saturday afternoon!

Aside from the bases I picked a few packs of spare Hornet and Historex heads. Michael Roberts new 54mm 1842 Springfield muskets, Brown bess and spare boots and shoes, all sculpted by our very own Gary Dombrowski! Great stuff!
