Hi Folks,

Here's a few pic's of the show. I wish I could have taken more but the camera battery died just as I ran out of disk room. Man, I need a new camera!

Sorry for the quality of the pic's. The lighting was not that friendly and there was no photo "station" set up for better light control.

A great time was had by all! There was a little over a hundred pieces displayed and the figure show room was busy throughout the day. The Red Arrow Militaria show has grown considerably...To the point it overflowed into the halls! Reenactors who dressed up got in free! And it was cool to see a few WW2 Brit Para's, WW1 Germans and a Rev War dude! As can be expected, the Toy Soldier room was PACKED!. So, needless to say, there was something for everyone there. Hopefully, next year will be larger in the "figure" category. ;)

B.O.S. went to Joe Furioso for his "Chasseur of the Guard"

Peoples Choice went to Rick Gardner's "Hannibal's War Elephant"

Thanks for looking,

Thanks for the pics Jason. The wife was off and with "everything" going on, she said no and I said "yes ma'am"! Great to see you made it and took some pics as well. Don't worry about the quality, I'm sure we'll all enjoy whatever you snapped.

Jason, I think you used the wrong link. It's asking me to "log in".

Hey Jason, What's your photobucket password? Or am I using the link the wrong way? (A strong possibility ;) ) See you next year.

Jason, thanks for the pics. I especially like the pics of the kids painting. It would be great to see this kind of encouragement at the bigger shows. i'm sure a small amount of ego stroking could be cut out to make room for this kind of thing.~Gary

A couple shots of pF members.

The man behind the scenes... And builder of some wonderful Napoleonic subjects.

Thanks for posting the show pics, Jason! Boy - Steve Warrilow will be pleased to see how well represented his Fusilier figures were! The first one of the French officer above the pool of dead is great! The face on that red Crusader or knight or whatever he is (pardon my ignorance!!!!) is marvelous. That's one of the most life-like faces I've ever seen painted!

All the best,
Dan

Wendy Rafalski is new to the forum and is eager to open a V-Bench soon.

She mostly paints 25mm wargame figures but is considering jumping into sculpting larger scale figures. Guess her subject interest?...Hockey players!!! Another Francesca?! Sounds great to me!

Wendy~

Perhaps it should be clarified that "kids" of all ages participated in painting at the kids table. Fun was had by all. Lets just say that the cowboy I painted while "manning" the table will never be seen in vbench....

Thanks to everyone that brought figures! Seeing everyone else's stuff is the fun part. :)

Couldn't have said it any better Wendy. I agree with you 100%! Big show, small show, in the end, does it really matter? To me all that matters is people getting out, displaying their work, learning a thing or two to improve our work or ourselves (case in point, look at the kids painting ;) ) and above all else, have fun! Certianly looks like all of this happened in Mich. today.

Congrats to all!
