Hello.
This is my it finishes realization in 70 m/m. The figure this based on a sheet of Osprey M.A.A. nº 348 The Moors. Carried out with Hard and Magic Sculp, the magic has tinted it with a pigment of MIG by way of tests and the result was satisfactory of there the brown color.
I wait they like and know how to excuse my not well English one. Greetings

Looks Great--How did you make the rivets on the Helmet with putty?Rivets in this scale or any scale always seem to elude me when i do conversions or sculpts. Thanks VikingRod

Hello. Rodney
There are several forms of making rivets, with a punches or as these it uses a small brass tube to which I put him an it collides, so that all the rivets they have the same height and diameter.I will carry out a draft of the same one and I will put it in the one post.
Greetings

Here I put an enlarged image, of a small atmosphere for a pedestal of 7 x 7

Pedro - Very nice! I love the small flag and the helmet is marvelous! Could we see some close-ups? Did you sculpt the head/face also?

Rodney - Let me take a crack at explaining how I make rivets, buttons, or anything similar. I think I understand what Pedro did. If not, please correct me.

You can use the end of an empty ball point pen tube, a brass tube from a Hobby shop, any small and thin-walled tube. I use 7 or 8 different ones that I've just collected/found. You'll also need something to push out the putty from the end of the tube. A thin very strong wire works better than anything else. Note that I work (so far) only in 120mm, so what I'm recommending works for that scale, probably for 75 mm - 90 mm, but 54 mm and smaller - I don't know.

Use a roller to roll out a small amount of putty very thin to an even depth throughout the entire sheet. You can buy fiberglass or acrylic resin rollers from Dick Blick art store or other places and they work really well for this. Use a little talcum powder (little!) to keep the roller and the putty from sticking together.

Next press the tube down into the putty. You should get a quite small ball in the end of the tube. Push it out carefully with the wire. There ya go.

All the best,
Dan

Hello they Give.
The ideas that you tell me are very good and I take notes for future figures.
As I tell to Rodney and you, I comment them my to proceed:
Tubes of several diameters can be located, in this case a hypodermic needle of those used in the hospitals. Fig 1.
I clip it Fig 2, and I put him some pasta of modeling that I push with a copper thread rounded in their extreme Fig3, I have them mounted in old paintbrushes Fig 4, I puncture in a small portion of pasta and I remove the surplus with a kitchen knife reviewing with a humidified paintbrush if it was necessary.
The head this modeling one and I put you some images.
Greetings and it excuses my not well English one.

Thank you Jeff. it is certain it is very simple, a test but, it is in this bust that I am carrying out and it takes many rivets in two sizes. As soon as he has the pictures I put them.
Greetings
