Excellent, but the brownish orange wood is overwhelming the figure colors a bit. The grey uniform is a lighter orangey color. Can you Photoshop the photo to correct this?

Roger has gone for a sepia tone on the flat itself, I reckon?

Thanks Gordy, yes it's painted in sepia tones but I'm not sure if the background shows it to it's best advantage.

Roger, a great idea to go with the sepia tones, the last picture is the best and IMHO well worth waiting for the base from Ulrich , a perfect combination.

very nice work Roger.
But you should look to the difference between the highlights under the eyes.
I just keep looking to that, instead to the whole figure. Maybe you should correct it.

What I was trying to do was make the highlights on the left of the face (as we look at it) stronger to show a light source from top left. Same with the highlight on the forehead.
