I saw this and two others at the Poole Vikings Model Show and as I had heard good reports I thought I would try them. I have used MiniArt 1/35 figures on my WW2 diorama's and have been pleased with them.
Just a few small bits of flash but I did need some filler down the arm and leg seams as the joins are a bit concave when together, but this was not a problem for an ex-aircraft modeller from the 60-70's.

Details quite nice and the face is good although you only really see the front of it.

Most of the parts glued together and primed.

Now ready for painting. Must see how I manage the bare legs and arms as I have only really painted faces and hands in this larger scales.

Great start.

I must take a closer look at this range. The fact they're injection-moulded plastic has kind of put me off them, but that looks pretty decent to me.

Good start, I have a couple of them in my grey army so I 'll follow with attention your progress. Do you still have your hair brush working ? So wide surfaces are no so easy to treat.
Go ahead ! :)

Thanks Francesco, I never use the airbrush any more, could never get it right using acrylics, even though I could use it OK with enamels. I find I can get a good finish using a flat brush and giving it 3-4 thin coats.

Looking good Geoff, I am the same as Steve but may have a look at these.
Will be following your progress. I may have to try one of these MiniArt figures.
If you are happy to do some filling and a bit of flash removal I recommend them, this is the first of the three I purchased and am pleased with him so far. These are the other two,

Quite a variation in era's but so what, it's all fun.

Nice work Geoff, I actually have the same figure on my workbench at the moment, they are great for the price and ideal as they are or for conversions which is what I have done with mine.
Will keep an eye on your progress.

Yep.Bit of work needed and some warping here and there but I quite like them.Their 1/16th scale horse is, I think, very good if a bit too thoroughbred.

Thanks Steve, I've never done a conversion in all my 50+ years of modelling, I tend to be happy with the boxed item.
I shall be looking out to see how yours is progressing too.
