Hello,
I want to introduce myself, my name is Andrea and I live in Italy, I saw your nice website, where models appear excellent paintings by artists, I began to produce personally my figures, (I am 3d modeler with zbrush) then print them with the 3d print.
I am aware that I still have some way to go to improve myself, I am pleased to present some of my creation and I would appreciate your opinion...

Hi Andreas,

Welcome to PF good to have you with us , thanks for sharing your work , lots of sculptors here to advise .

Can you tell us more about the bust you have done .

Thanks for sharing

Nap

Thank you very much Napoleonpeart,
the first bust depicts a WW2 German panzergrenadier , (it is my first sculpture), for the second I was inspired by a photo that appeared in the German weekly "Signal" in 1943, and is an Italian soldier with Beretta 38 and ammunition pouch "samurai",i have been interested in seeing a man smiling in that tragic context of that terrible war...

thanks Bob for appreciation, :)
for 3d printing I use a machine of DWS Systems, (company that is close to my house, near Vicenza)

Andreas,
Thank you for sharing, what you have done so far looks great!!!! I have been looking at DWS printers and I am not sure what material is best to print in.
Are the ones you have done printed in wax or resin? How well can you sand or smooth the pieces after they has been printed?

If you have tried or are using wax then I have another question. Can you add more wax by hand onto the printed parts? I am thinking of vent tubes or hand carved items.
The vents on your figure look like they were printed with the figure.

Thank you in advance,

Thank you Todd,
the DWS produces different types of resin, including wax for use in the jewelry industry, for my model has been used a resin suited to industrial design, gray in color, It need not be any kind of post processing machine, since the thicknesses of Leyers are 1 micron;
yes, the vent pipes are the backups created by DWS, (I have not disconnected because they have admirably served its purpose "vent tubes");
you can add some of the details in wax or vent pipes, before creating silicone molds,
thanks for your interest and happy new year
