The German steel helmet in which the puppy dog is sitting is no showmanship owed to the figure market - it can also be seen on the original picture ...:



Incidentally, the soldier's name was PFC Joseph E. Day.

The dog will be a bear ...so to speak. Animals very rarely paint effectively, and even here the dog is perhaps the weakest aspect
