Wood grain is looking pretty good on the weapon. It seems like most MG42s I've seen, the wooden buttstock was worn smooth, so not much grain was really seen.

The face looks nice, but the eyes seem to be to be too "zombie".

Hi mate thanks for the feed back , yea more work to do on the butt of the machine gun , I tend to put burnt umber oil mix on it the then dry brush it off , yea your right with zombie eyes , lol only have the eye ball in there but like my eyes after a 48 hour stint in work lol
Although I do tend to paint my figures a bit outside the box I struggle doing figures if the have just come out of a beauty saloon having had a facial lol , when ever I have shown a figure to my dad 92 and d-day vet he always says more dirt more grim uniforms and hands perticulary , and very often this concept of the perfectly dressed infantry soldier very often the Germans looking very sexy lol when in fact they looked as rough as my dad lol ill fitting jackets and certainly were not model material , must go and put some moisturizer on lol
Cheers Chris
