Hi All,
I recently finished Mitches Military Models re-release of the 200mm US paratrooper with .30 cal. Its all painted in acrylics. I decided I wanted a different base for the figure, so he wasn't just standing on a plinth. I searched the internet for some old photos and found some pics with us paratroopers near brick walls with metal railing style fences, so decided this was what I wanted. The footpath and wall was made with balsa wood and then I added some polyfiller to add some texture. The railings / fence was made using 3mm solder bent to shape. Then the wall & path were weathered with washes & pigments. I also added some mixed herbs to make it look like there were some leaves scattered around the area. I also added a few grass tufts here & there. The road was made using milliput.
A really enjoyable kit to do & I am happy with the result.
Hope you like it.
Comments welcome.
Cheers
