I am now in the process of moving to Essex between basildon and Raleigh. Just wondering if anyone knows or can recommend a monthly model club meeting near by.

Afternoon Tommi,
Have a look on the IPMS (UK) web site https://ipmsuk.org/ipms-network/ipms-uk-branches/. There are at least four possibilities within a few miles although I don't know how many of their members have an interest in figure modelling.
Alternatively, if it is convenient, have a look at Southern Expo 2020 at Hornchurch Leisure Centre on 28/29 March 2020, there are sure to be representatives from some of those local clubs in attendance? Sadly this year's Hornchurch show is the last (at least in it's present form).

I'm not aware of any around here, I'm in East Tilbury, there's a club in Southend, I think its IPMS and is primarily aircraft and armour.
