Hi Planeteers,
This is one of my work in progress pieces for your critique. It is a modified 120mm scale Maurice Corry German Fallschirmjager. I have posted the original pose to view against my modified pose. I decided to try and make this one look different as I purchased two of these figures.

I have modified the head position so he is looking up watching his comrades descend from the skies, I have also added a neck scarf in milliput and reworked the nose a little bit.

I have changed and altered both arms to the original so he holding the MP40 in both hands. I have put a basic undercoat colour on the figure in Vallejo acrylics and intend to paint the jump smock in this lighter green colour to my first attempt.

Thanks for viewing
Richie

Hi All,
I have just completed my modified Fallschirmjager, I decided to make another change and add a cigarette in the mouth. I am quite pleased with the outcome since this is the first time I have ever modified a figure. Hope you like what I've done to the original. I also made the square plinth finished in Danish oil.
cheers
Richie

I'm much impressed by Maurice's sculpts, but I think you have improved this figure quite a bit. The upward looking head fits the overall pose of the back very well indeed and the way he is holding the gun is much more realistic.

Excellent work!

Cheers,
Adrian

Hi
Gordy - Thanks for the comments and support.

Adrian - Thank you for the very nice comments, it's been a labour of love wanting to do justice to this sculpt, I am a big Moz fan too. I still have 10 of his 120mm figures to go at. I have two other duplicates of his, the Panzer Grenadier and the SAS figure I plan to modify in the future.

Steve - Hello my mentor, thank's mate for the comment. Addictive it's like nicotine! only more frustrating.

thanks again
Richie
