"Mongol General Bust"
200mm resin - 6 resin parts
Painted review example - Marc van Megroot

Khan 01.jpg

I saw this bust being painted several months ago and had to have one. Mongols being one of my favorite eras I ordered this from Wee Friends in Scotland and within a week it was in my mailbox. Recently Marc van Megroot posted his painted version in his vbench and with his permission I am using his photos as an example of the finished bust.

Cast in 200mm gray resin this highly detailed kit comes in 6 resin parts.

Arriving in the mail in a light cardboard box and wrapped in bubble wrap was the above clear bubble container with all parts inside as well as an information sheet. As you can see the kit is cast in a light grap resin and consists of 6 parts.

Above you see various views of the separate cast head with a perfect likeness to the General Ghengis Khan seen in many paintings.

Conclusion:
An excellent detailed bust of a subject not often seen in the miniature world. Some clean-up of mold blocks required. Excellent fit of all parts. Highly recommended.

Hello friends, but in Italy where can I find? or who do I contact to buy this bust.

I don't wish to decry such a lovely sculpted and painted figure but I have a couple of observations. Firstly with such a characteristic face the mask seems to spoil it for me.
Secondly the laminar armour seems to be in the wrong direction, it should deflect away blows or arrows, the way it is would tend to capture a blade or arrow guiding it into the body. I'm sure I will be corrected and I have seen some modern examples in this direction but generally by far most overlapping layers of armour be they leather scale or plate go in the other direction.
Once again sorry for being negative for such a beautifully sculpted and painted piece.
