Jimmy, Very nice. You no doubt have not only watched the movie several times but studied the 'werewolf" in depth as well. You're off to a fantastic start.~Gary

Gary: well, what can I say, I already made this subject twice into a model kit, but the most important reason is it's a labour of love:)

Marc: De ridder van legende is wel degelijk verkrijgbaar als prepaint, maar niet via mij, ik ben enkel producent in dit geval.

Cheers,

Jiver

Ziet er weer fantastisch uit Jimmy!

You mention that you are starting to like Aves better than Magic Sculp. What do you feel makes the difference?

Thanks!

Marijn

Hi Marijn,

I think it's a little bit finer compare to MS.On the other hand, and that's something I haven't tested yet, it seems less flexible. For example, I have once thinned MS by rolling it out,it was so thin you could see light coming through.I'm not yet convinced Aves will hold.Time will tell. For now, I'm sattisfied working with it.Thank god,I bought a whole case. ;)

Cheers,

Jiver

Hello Jimmy,

mmm, a finer putty is always better, but the flexibiliy is exactly what I like about Magic Sculpt...

Are you still importing Magic Sculp in Belgium by the way, or planning to do so again? It seems difficult to find nowadays...

Cheers!

Marijn

Hello Jiver,

looks pretty good. I keep close to your next steps.

Cheers,
Markus

Jimmy, I think do the hair either very detailed ormerely "suggesting" strands or groups of strands of hair works here. I prefer to add a bit more detail to the hair where it is finer, in areas like the sideburns. The hair of a figure's head tends to look too "busy" if the sculptor attempted to put in every strand of hair. My two cents.~Gary

Gary,

What you said makes sence. It was exactly what I was having problems with. The detailed hair works fine on smaller figures or busts, but not on a big sizer.Yesterday I tested a different methode, more like what the 1/1 scale portret sculptors do and I was happy with the result.

Cheers,

Jiver

There are probably some areas that more detailed hair would be okay. For the most part I would probably suggest the larger masses.~Gary
