Just a quickie! My good wife was searching for some old and embarrassing photographs, of me from years gone by !

However, she also happened upon some old movie posters! namely 'Star-Wars', from 1977. and others. .. I checked this out. and got an eager offer of, 1,600 GBP.. ($2,469), for two posters. :wtf: .. Yep! I will some of that. ...Guys check your cupboards, loft, whatever.

Mark.

I remember a number of years ago, some guy renovating an old house found a whole stash of vintage movie posters stuffed into the attic and walls as insulation. He got over $100 000 for them. Good on you for your treasure find!

I Keep looking but never find anything like that well done that man, that's a great find. I have some old 70's Kung Fu Posters that I got when I was a teenager but don't think they are worth that much. but I love them and have very fond memories of going to the cinema to see these movies and asking the manager if I could have them after the move had run it's course.

Well done again

Cheers

Just goes to show one man's junk is another man's treasure . I shot up into my loft today and all I could find was a loads of paper work, a couple of cots. a feeding high chair , a stainless steel sink, an old stereo system and a metal rocking horse that fetched 20 quid on Flog It a couple of weeks ago . So no large bucks heading my way but congratulations to you Mark for your lucky find .

Nice find Mark.

One day in the late '90s my mother was bending my ear about the amount of my childhood crap that was still up in her loft, so up I went and had a good sort out. Among the many things I ruthlessly binned were two large plastic carrier bags full of Timpo toy soldiers and associated buildings, wagons etc.

Not too long after that I discovered eBay, and found out that these things were selling for daft money to collectors. A handful that had fallen out of the bags survived the cull, but to say I was pig sick is an understatement.
