Does anybody have an image or drawing of an MP40 viewed from above, please?

I am struggling with the stock of the MP40 of the Alpine SS Grenadier in Kharkov and I think I am getting it wrong.

I suspect the two "sticks" (not a clue on what is the right word in English...) should run parallel, while in mine end up in a sort of "v" shape (although less open), when seen from above.

I glued them on the outside of the oval shaped piece which represent the end of the stock and I think that is the mistake.

I hope this makes sense and anybody can help, otherwise if you just have pictures I would be very grateful!

Best regards,

Alessandro

I don't know if this helps Alessandro.

Thanks Carl, that helps and the sticks look parallel, but a picture right from above (for example a technical drawing) would confirm my suspect.
From that picture, however, it is also clear that the "sticks" should be on the outside of the other piece, which is how I glued them, but then they are not parallel.

Thanks Javier, Helm, and SG. They are definitely parallel, surprisingly I managed to detach the oval piece without damages, I must now just glue it properly!
