Hello there!

Recently I finished this fine little SciFi themed bust, called "Arbiter". It is from a set of 5 busts, called "Operation Knox".

Like always, it was handpainted in acrylics. Airbrush was only used for the white primer and the final matt varnish for protection.
Size is around 10cm / 3,93in.

Hi Dirk

Good to see your artwork , a good looking sculpt with a really nice style of painting

How did you paint the armour ...NMM? ...what mixes ?

Like the effect on the weapon and the hair as well

Hi there!

Oh, Nap, I just realised, I never gave you an answer on this. How rude.
First of all, thank you for liking this bust. (y)
Indeed I tried NMM on this bust. As I am an old school painter, who is in this beautiful hobby for more than 30 years now, I always struggle a little with modern paint styles like NMM or OSL. So I basicaly never have a real idea, of what I am doing, when I try to paint NMM.
So I have no special recipe for NMM and mostly wing it on the way. I just use what paint feels right at that moment. That's why I feel, this NMM is far from being perfect. But it still looks nice on him. Trying NMM is always a hit or miss for me.

Hi Dirk

Not a problem , it’s a nice paint ..my attempts at NMM are often hit and miss ...yours looks good

What colours do you use for the goldwork?

Hope we will see more of your artwork soon

Have fun

Well, I can't really tell you. All acrylics, of course, but what colors and brands exactly? Hard to say. I mostly paint with cheap craft paints these days. So I just used ivory, different tones of yellows and browns to what I hoped would look a little bit like NMM.
As I said, I still feel like a mere adept at painting NMM.

And sure, I have a ton of other works to show, if you like.
