Hi,

I'm just curious to know if those cd-rom (Andrea press Figure Painting multimedia and TTFX Media Painting 90mm figures) could be a good investment. I only paint with oils but I would like to try acrylic. I paint mostly medieval, 54 and 120mm. I don't have a lot of books on the subject of medieval knights (I'm in the process to get some good references).

I'm not a professionnal painter but I consider myself to be average. Here is an idea of my work with oils.

So if you have those cd-rom, could you share your impression, if you are satisfied or it didn't help you at all. I tried to read some reviews about those cd's but can't find nothing. I know this is a very personal question and it depends on a lot of thing but I'm just looking for a few comment to see if I would buy those cd's.

Thanks

Clarence

i have these cd's and i cannotsay that they added muchto my painting skills. I mean they present totallybasic knowlwdge and since you are already a painter and not starting now ,i dont thinkthat you will be benefitted fromthem. My guess is to get the 2 Euromodellismo books, Painting in acrylics - Overhead Lighting parts I, II. These are the only books you need to paint in acrylics. full of pictures, painted figures, colors, hints, tips and tricks, and step bystep picturing. I evaluate them as the best written document forpainting figures in acrylics.

i hope i helped some

Keep safe

I don't want to open new topic so I'm curiuos where on the net can you buy Euromodellismo books? Preferably from EU.

Thanks for mentioning the Euromodellismo books books, Costas. I've been on a quest of sorts for a few years trying to find good articles on painting acrylics. I'll give these ones a try.

Cheers, Brent

It appears that Accion Press is sold out of Overhead Lighting 1. Does anyone know of another source? I checked with Historex, and they are also out of vol. 1.
