Steve, you're coming along quite nicely. I like the fact that you are not afraid to tackle metalics, reds and this scale for your first attempt back. Keep us posted!

Nice to have you back mate, looks like your taste in subjects hasn't diminished any, a very nice peice.

Let us know what you foun hardest about coming back after so long?

all the best

Thanks for you kind words guys. Even though I say so myself, the photo doesn't do it justice. Digital camers are very unforgiving! I find painting eyes are probably the hardest part for me. Also gold lace can be tricky. The ribbon on the cuff of the empty sleeve was added after I saw a photo of a life size wax figure of Nelson, I think it's just one of "those little touches" that helps to make it different. Well. I'm hooked again, I can't wait to start my next figure. Although I can't decide what to take on next. I enjoy busts but also anything that I see as really outstanding. I like the look of the Elite miniatures French infantry lieutenant. That may be next. I'm open to suggestions. PF has really rekindled my enthusiasm and gives anyone like me something to aim for.

Steve, It's a little hard to get back into the groove, but you've managed nicely here. This gives you a great starting point to work on those areas you feel need work. Welcome back.~Gary
