My First Bust

Well I took my first steps into the world of busts . Having seen so many great works on this sight I thought I'd have a go .
The bust is an old Ledgends and Lore of General Burford , but as it looks so much like the actor Sam Elliott from the film Gettysburg that's the way I've tried to paint it .
Hat painted in oils then dusted using acrylics , face in oils hair dulled with acrylics , clothing acrylics , leather straps oils
The name plate was designed by the wizard of graphic design The one and only Mr. Rick Brownlee aka The Kansas Kid . Thanks Rick for your time on this .

Once you've tasted painting busts you might have a tough time going back to full figs!
