Hi John,

I really like it! I think you captured the feel prefectly. I especially like the weathered golden metal. How did you do that?

I have been wanting to order this one but promsied my wife I'd finish the two highlanders currently being primed on my bench. Is this a particular favorite period of yours or did the figure just catch your eye?

Wilkes, you old rascal - good to see your stuff on here!

I must be one of the few who haven't done this fella. Your rendition looks very nice, and I agree, the treatment of the metal is excellent.

Hey guys, you should see this man's work with plastic kits - he's a true all-rounder

Nice one John. See you up t'road!

Cheers

Phil

Hi John,

I have done this figure, and it's a lot harder than it looks. I found the face especially challenging. Your face is great.

I think you have done a great job capturing the look of a warrior on campaign. The groundwork also fits nicely. Keep up the good work and let's see more of your work.

Thank you guys.

Paul,
the metal areas were painted with ALCLAD II chrome by hand, over that I gave a coat of Tamiya clear yellow with a little clear smoke, once it started to dry I stippled it with a brush loaded with pure alcohol.

Phil,
Good to know you frequent this site. I only found it recently but really enjoy seeing others work. Are any of your masterpieces here? and Thank you for the compliment!!

Pj
I will photo some of my work and ost it in the comming weeks.

Thank you all so far

John

Nice stuff John, appears you are quite versatile in your subjects - never a bad thing & helps you from going stale.

Again, like the treatment of your 'Maximus' in particular.

Nice work John!

Welcome on board. I like you have been a recent convert to planet figure and find it a wealth of inspiration and knowledge.

like the use of Alclad II didn't know it could be brushed painted, will have to give it a go.

The Maximus is on my want list, but feel that my skills are good enough yet for 54mm.

Have fun.

Thanks and best wishes

Tim
