I finally overcame my dread of tackling the feathers.
The bust is from Diorama Studios. 200mm resin
Undercoated in acrylics/enamels. Painted in oils and Printer's inks.

Nice job on the feathers and fur. I really like the gentle transitions and muted look. Too often leopard or jaguar pelt is painted with hard edged spots.

Thanks Guys. My production output as been a little bit better than zero this past couple of years. However, with the likes of Stormtrooper, Grenadier et al, I've found I have a renewed interest in busts and have several at varying levels of completion. Hopefully, I'll have then finished over this next year.

Brian...I plan to make it to Ajax on Saturday. I'm on duty Friday (and Sunday), so it will depend on how busy we are. Doubt if I'll be entering but I'll bring the husaria with me if I come out.

Paul an excellent job on this bust. I know that he's done a couple of newer WH's since this one, but for me the earlier piece has the 'look'.
The 'jowly' face was the real challenge here and you've pulled it off perfectly.
Cheers
Derek

Very nicely done. The metals, the feathers and particularly the pelt... gorgeous indeed. I really hope to see this up close on Saturday... even though Polish Hussars and Cossacks rarely mix well ;)

Great piece of work
