Just finished this SK Miniatures bust.
I added a quiver and some extra arrows as the ones supplied just hung on the back and didn't look right to my eyes.

Sorry poor pictures as usual.

Love the paint work Samurai are one of my favourite subjects but struggle with the intricate designs.

Hi Bill

A nice bust there full of detailing , like the additional arrows you added and also the pattern colour on the armour

Is this based on any particular armour or generic ?

Why not enter a piece into the class of your choice in our AUGUST's FOTM comp and also vote in JULY classes as well

....And enter in Vignettes & Diorama #3 running till 31/01/22 ...msg me if needed

Always good to see the artwork

Thanks for sharing

Look forward to the next

Happy benchtime

Thanks Kev.

Made up the pattern as I went along, strangely enough I couldn't find a single image of this bust painted.
I also found it a little odd that there was no quiver on the original. Almost as if the arrows supplied were an afterthought.

Cheers

Nice work Bill. The highlight for me is the freehand patterns. You've achieved some nice symmetry and uniformity there, something that I struggle with if I have to paint "more than one of anything" on a piece.

Thank you Steve. Believe me there was some struggling on my part too. One of the advantages of oils is you can wipe it off and try again.
