By coincidence I was planning to do just this very thing.
School holidays started at the end of last week and my wife always gets dozens of boxes of chocolates.
This year included 4 Ferrero Rocher boxes, so I thought perfect (y)
 
Well, it just disproves the old adage......you CAN teach an old dog new tricks :happy: Takeaway box, piece of very absorbent sort of micro-cloth that absorbs 6x its own volume of water, baking parchment, acrylic paint (usually only use it for underpainting, 'cos it dries damn quick ), and lo and behold, paint still useable after three days, as everything has stayed nice and moist. (Now there's a word to conjure with....moist :LOL: ). Cheers, boys, an experiment that cost nothing, as the Mrs. produced saved boxes from the bottomless kitchen drawer. I'll see how it goes ........

Thanks for sharing this ...now apparently I have no excuses not to get chocolates for the much beloved !!

Chocs and painting eh .....something to suffer I suppose

Best not get it too moist though ....a word to conjour with indeed Alan

Alright everyone I'll try a wet pallet (sheesh some people just go on) :D

(Actually it's a fair point with all the lovely sunshine we've been having the paints dry out so quickly it's almost like a speed painting competition! )
