Al Mackie (Alamac on the Planet) has asked me to put up some of his work to showcase firstly his fantastic painting skills and secondly to show what can be achieved with the new Naked Army bust range. Alan mostly uses oils and is on here frequently if anybody has any questions. Bust is available at http://www.na-int.com/

Jim, there's no doubt Alan is the master when it comes to these large scale Naked Army busts and figures. He's not just a great painter but also a very accomplished and talented sculptor.

Very true Tony, although that Kiwi youngster Butler is yapping at his heels ha ha!!! They are big figures and not a scale I would have tackled until I saw Al's work and the encouragement he gave everybody to give them a go. It is also great to see that some of the Naked Army pieces came from Al's conversions. Hopefully the busts will prove popular (can't really miss at that price....) and we'll see more subjects in the future

WOW !! I thought it was a tinted picture ..really great work on these large scale busts ..amazing colour tones especialy on the flesh

NA definately produce some really nice stuff and in a very nice sculpting style as well

Thanks for sharing

Al's the master mate!
I've only done one figure (thanks to Al) & he's masterfully covered many on the range plus conversions like this super bust.
Can't wait to have a crack at this as a Kiwi NZRB tribute.

Keep posting Al's work Jimmy.
It's long overdue here :)

Stay safe,
Mike

PS suggest you include Naked Army's website on each post http://www.na-int.com
Don't want to encourage any marital conflict ;-)

Great paintwork and a fantastic subject on these busts. I saw a WW2 8th Army full figure from naked army and they are certainly very impressive...and heavy. I think they are 1/6th scale.
Great stuff

Gordon
