Here is one work in progress of NA latest bronze . It belongs to a friend of mine whose son dropped the figure and broke the hands, and he asked me if i would paint it for him and fix it up.The flight suite is a little bluer in these photos than to the naked eye.But just testing out a new camera. All comments appreciated, hope you like him.

Hi Al,

That's a magnificent figure and I know he'll look fantastic when you've finished him.

I know that the uniform looks more blue in the pics than in real life. I think the flash from your camera might have washed out the colour a bit.

Great stuff.

Cheers

Alan,
All the 9 Sqn RAAF crews I saw in Vietnam wore a light green flight suit, not blue.

Cheers
Chris

nice looking figure...........good to see more Naked Army stuff up on PF

will have to start working on my Bardia kit soon

Thanks gentlemen for your comments much appreciated, Chris, the colour appears a lot bluer than it actually is but it's not light green so i'll get back to work with the brushes as i want to get this correct to do honour to the men who wore it. Ian have fun with the Bardia kit there's a lot in it but well worth the effort i'm half way through another one at the moment See you w/end after next at QMHE.
Cheers Alan

G'day Al,

The colour of the flight suit looks spot on now. I'm sure he looks much better in the flesh than he does in these pics, and I hope once you've finished painting him you can post some close up photos so we can share in all that wonderful detail.

Great work mate and good luck with him at QMHE next weekend.

Cheers

Hi Al,

Great work on a great figure mate.

No one handles these big scale Naked Army figures like you.

Another inspiring effort which I'm sure will draw a big crowd of admirers at QMHE this weekend.

Particularly appropraite as today is Vietnam Veterans Day in Australia, commemorating the Battle of Long Tan in 1966, in which the boys of 9 Squadron RAAF played a vital role in supporting and resupplying D Coy 6RAR during the battle.
