Hi - need a little help?

Creating a bust from a photograph where the figure holds a dog, can anyone identify the breed?

Looks like a Patterdale Terrier possibly ?

or a Jack Russell

Hi Rich....it looks like a cross breed to me, perhaps Border Terrier or Cairn Terrier with a bit of Jack Russell giving it the sharper face.
But for a more expert view there's some guys on here who have a hands on interest in animal husbandry...so to speak....how's it going country boys?

Some kind of terrier I think, perhaps a X. Could you post the full pic so we can see it's size in relation to whoever is holding it?

Will go with the Patterdale and treat it as bit of a mix (that's near enough for me - only needed to see the body shape).

Have found an image online that makes me feel happy to start the sculpt.

Rich!, not an easy one to tell, due to photo being black and white. I trained 'Guide-Dogs' for 24yrs, so have seen so many different breeds that staff have as pets! and having to attend dog shows etc. I tend to agree with Del! it looks like a Terrier cross. because it seems to have a single colour, but with a white blaze on its paws and possibly chest!... I would say a Cross! However if you need a fairly close match, the slightly longer snout, does remind me of a Long coated Jack Russel. But closer would be an Australian Terrier!

A dogydog perhaps, call him Mirza
