Osenat do terrific and regular Napoleonic auctions. I once sent away for general info and now have a stack of their glossy auction catalogues about 3' tall. Each better than many Napoleonic books I have bought. Never cost me a cent. They have stopped now but I got them for about 7 years. Very generous but questionable business model.
Yes it did mate. I have some 2ned Empire stuff. some plates representing the seige of Paris (I know not quite second empire but from just after.) a Gentleman's card case with a French officer painted on it from the time. some coins a Officers dress uniform and Kepi. Cloth Bag army issue, two boynettes medals and Meany books that were produced just after the Franco Prussian war. and a few more bits. nothing like that collection lol. still it's nice to hold part of history.
